Seals are applied to Wood Floors for two principal reasons. Firstly, protection from damage, such as stains, moisture and wear. Secondly, properly applied, a seal will accentuate woods natural beauty, grain and colour.
All of our seal systems adopt the foregoing principal: penetrating type seals to provide protection and Surface Finish to accentuate natural colour, aesthetic appeal and ease of maintenance. Tung Oil Seal
Tung Oil Seal is formulated from natural tung oil for use as a deep penetration wood floor seal that produces a tough, durable semi permanent surface coating on internal wood and parquetry floors.
Tung Oil Seal prevents wood floors from drying out and splintering and produces a rich protective finish that retains and enhances the original natural timber colours. This product provides a hard, uniform mid gloss surface that is slip resistant, and resistant to acid, alkali, moisture, rubber burns and abrasion.
Dries to a pleasing finish and solvent odour is minimal.
Ideal for old or new floors. Ease of use makes this product ideal for the home handyman or professional alike. |
Q.D Seal and Beauty

Q.D Seal and Beauty are clear pre-catalysed oil modified polyurethane wood seals formulated to produce a semi-permanent penetrating and surface coating on wood, |

parquetry, cork, granwood flooring and also floating floors.
Q.D Seal is used as a penetrating seal for initial application to new or freshly sanded surfaces. The product will penetrate and bond the wood fibres at the same time emphasising the natural colours of the floor.
Beauty provides a tough durable surface finish that prevents wood from drying out and splintering and produces a rich finish that retains and enhances the original natural colours.

Penetrating Seal and Super Finish Seal
Time proved system for long lasting durability. This system is used throughout Australia to produce safe Timber Sports Floors.
The program is designed to provide an attractive and functional surface on which to enjoy all forms of indoor sports. These seals will provide a safe playing surface suitable for indoor sports activities such as basketball, netball, squash, badminton, gymnasiums etc
These seals are recommended where high humidity and moisture are prevalent, conditions that cause timber to swell and shrink. Under these conditions Penetrating Seal and Super Finish seal move with the timber and don't cause edge gluing which can cause splitting of timber.

Penetrating Seal
A blend of penetrating oils and synthetic resins that penetrates, case hardens and bonds the timber fibre to eliminate dusting and splintering.
Use Penetrating Seal as initial seal coat on newly sanded floors in conjunction with Super Finish and Surface Seal.

Super Finish Seal
Applied over Penetrating Seal to produce a tough durable safe playing surface on basketball stadiums, gymnasiums or any indoor timber or cork floor that is subjected to high volume traffic conditions. Super Finish Seal dries to a tough durable surface that protects and prevents timber from drying out and splintering. The rich finish enhances the original timber colours and protects the timber surface. Highly resistant to rubber burn marks and scuff marks can be removed with machine bugging. Ongoing maintenance is simple and the periodic refurbishment system will extend the life of the new floor indefinitely.
Surface Seal
Surface Seal is most suitable for residential application where traffic conditions are not as intense as sport floor applications. Use in conjunction with Gemini Timber Finish to produce a beautiful lasting surface.
Used by builders as a protective coating during building construction.

Hyrdrothane 'Sport' is a non flammable water-borne polyurethane timber floor seal that imparts a fast drying, tough, abrasion resistant finish to all interior timber sports floors. Formulated for total ease of use and user comfort.
Hyrdrothane 'Sport' contains no harmful thinners or solvents and in most atmospheric conditions can be recoated in just 1-2 hours.
Hyrdrothane 'Sport' exhibits exceptional durability, scuff and chemical resistance and provides a safe playing surface for gymnasiums, basketball - netball stadiums etc. Unique drying enables 'Coat today - Play tomorrow'.
Typical coverage rates: Initial coat new floor 15-18 square metres per litre Second and subsequent coats 22-26 square metres per litre.

can be recoated in just 1-2 hours. Possessing exceptional durability, scuff and chemical resistance Hydrothane 'Ultra' provides the perfect surface for commercial or domestic applications and is suitable for use on all timber, parquetry, floating timber and cork floors.

Care of Your Wood Floor
Regular maintenance is an important part of keeping your wood floor looking good. By following these recommendations years of service can be achieved from your floor. Prevent dirt and grit entry by providing quality purpose built walk off matting at all entrances. This is your first defense against abrasive grit, sand and dirt being tracked onto the floor. Provide daily or regular dust mopping to remove dust. Don't use oil impregnated mops, these spread a thin oil film over the surface causing a possible slip hazard. Use electrostatic mops or vacuum for effective dirt removal. Apply a protective coating of Gemini Timber Floor Finish to commercial and residential floors. This product will provide both enhancement and protection to your floor. Damp mop at regular intervals to remove wet spills, greasy soils, dirt and food spillage. Versadet neutral floor cleaner at recommended dilutions will effectively clean without any damage to the floor surface and assist in keeping your floors clean and healthy.
Sports floors require regular cleaning with Gymclean to remove spillages, body oils and general soiling. Gymclean is formulated specifically for use with all Peerless wood seals in sports floor applications.
Which Wood Seal System to Choose
Penetrating and Super Finish Seal
High traffic Sports floors and Multi Purpose floors, previously sealed older floors. Application: One coat Penetrating Seal, two or three coats of Super Finish Seal.
Hydrothane 'Sport"
Sports floors and where speed of applications is required. No solvent odours. New floors or recoating of previously coated Hydrothane floors. Application: Four coats of Hydrothane 'Sport'
Hydrothane 'Ultra'
Water-Borne Polyurethane, no solvents, safe and efficient to use. Commercial and residential floors for use on either fixed or floating floors. Application: Two to three coats of Hydrothane 'Ultra'.
Tung Oil Seal
Natural tung oils for a deep penetrating seal. New floors or old resanded floors. Ideal for DIY users.
Application: Two to three coats of Tung Oil Seal.
Penetrating and Surface Seal
New floors or old resanded floors. Ideal for DIY users. Application: One coat of Penetrating Seal, Two coats of Surface Seal.
